#1 · Nov 8, 2011. In December of 2010 my VVT oil line burst, only my AC light was indicating a malfunction. While enroute to the dearlership the car would not accelerate and was making odd noises. Once in service I was told that the line burst and there was no oil in the vehicle, and that there was a recall (which I had never been notified of).

The old Ford Escorts were noisy and so were my Caravans with the Chrysler 2.4 engines (not GEMA). We think our Pat is more quiet than the last Caravan we had with 2.4L engine. If I remember correct, it seems that my 2014 Patriot with auto transmission is more quiet than the 2013 I test drove with the CVT.
