In conjunction with the public holiday, KTMB announced on Facebook that the company is offering a train service for holiday-goers to travel from KL Sentral to Hat Yai on Thursday night, 15 September, and return on Sunday afternoon, 18 September. The train ride from Kuala Lumpur to Hat Yai takes about seven hours one way.
